Bregentved Estate– Crop production, pig production and energy.

Bregentved Manor has a clear strategy. The aim is to combine energy and agricultural systems for a future without fossil fuels and to create more sustainable energy systems. They have therefore over the past years developed wind, biomass and solar energy. The overarching goal is to become energy-neutral.
The plan is to establish a huge solar energy park on 210 hectares. The first 10 hectares already supply power.

The estate farms 3,465 hectares with a wide range of crops, and produces pigs and energy.

On their website, they state: “We can harvest 15 times a year and produce 1,000 tonnes of green in 100 times less space compared with field production. In fact, our production takes no more space than a football pitch.”
